Materials:
10mm (P-16) Crochet Hook
3mm Macrame Cord (Small Size: 116g Large Size:174g)
Large eyed needle to weave in the cord
3 Stitch Markers
Dimensions:
Small- 10cm/4in diameter
Large- 15cm/6in diameter
Pattern Notes:
The plant/vase hanger can be made in two different sizes. Larger size stitch numbers are in the brackets
Abbreviations used:
sl st- slip stitch
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
ch- chain
Begin with a magic circle, ch2
Row 1
6 (8) hdc’s into the magic circle, pull the magic circle closed and sl st to the first hdc
Row 2
ch2
two hdc’s in each st around, sl st to the first hdc
Row 3
ch2
* 1 hdc in the first st, 2 hdc in the next st*, repeat from * around, sl st to the first hdc
Row 4
ch2
*1 hdc in the first st, 1 hdc in the next st, 2 hdc’s in the next st*, repeat from * around, sl st to the first hdc
Row 5
ch2
hdc in each st around, join with a sl st to the first hdc (repeat this row for the larger size)
Netting Row 1

*dc in the first st, ch1, sk next st*, repeat from * around, sl st to the first dc

Leave your hook where it is and now we will place stitch markers in the stitches where the “chains” of the plant hanger will be attached.
From the first dc,* skip the next 5 sts, place a stitch marker in the next st* repeat from * 2 more times.
Now we will make the “chains” to hang the planter
Grab your hook and ch40 (or your desired length)
sl st to the marked st that is directly opposite the beginning of your chain, leave a long tail to weave in
Join your cord to a st that is marked with a st marker
ch 40, sl st to the last marked st, leave a long tail to weave in
Now you can weave in all the ends. Use the long tails to reinforce the joins where the “chain” of the plant hanger meets the “basket”.
