Crochet Headband

Bluebell Headband

This pattern is written in American Standard Terms.
Materials
4mm/G6 hook
Any scrap Dk yarn, I used Sirdar Cotton Dk in “Breaking Waves”
Size
Approximately 85cm/33.5in from end to end. The ties on either side make it easy to fit any head size.
Stitches & Abbreviations
sc- single crochet
hdc- half double crochet
ch- chain
hdc 2tog- half double crochet two stitches together
hdc 3tog- half double crochet three stitches together

Body of the Headband
Ch9
Row1
Hdc in 2nd ch from hook
Ch1,skip 1 ch
Hdc in next ch
Ch1,skip 1 ch
Hdc in next ch
Ch1,skip 1 ch
Hdc in next ch
Turn (4 hdc’s and 3 chs)

Repeat row 2 until headband measures 25cm (10in) (or desired length)

Ch2 (does not count as a st here and throughout)
* Hdc in the hdc ch1, skip ch*
Repeat from* 2 times

Ch 40, break yarn

Join your yarn to the 1st of the opposite end of the headband and repeat the Decrease Rows and Ties. When you have finished pull the ends of the ties as tightly as you can and snip of the tails.
