Dusty Miller Cardigan – FREE unisex crochet pattern

May 12, 2021

This post contains some affiliate links. If you click on the link and purchase I will receive a small commission. This way I can continue creating my patterns and giving them to you for free.

The Dusty Miller Cardigan is a unisex design featuring a bobble stitch pattern down each sleeve.

Construction:

The cardigan is constructed from the top down in a raglan style. This means that there are four increase points around the yoke, at the front and back of each shoulder. We will add 8 stitches each row. The front and back of the cardigan use half double crochet stitches and the sleeves use a combination of bobble and half double crochet stitches. After the yoke is complete, the sleeves are separated and the body is stitched to the desired length.
Next you will join your yarn to the skipped sleeves stitches and work each sleeve. The pattern instructs you to sew up the sleeves at the end but if you feel confident, you can always slip stitch the sleeve as you go so you do not have to seam them at the end.

Buy the Ad Free, Colour Coordinated Pattern

Why should I buy the pattern you may ask? My patterns are colour coordinated by size and so easy to read! The PDF is printable and totally worth the money! The stitch counts for all yoke rows are also included. You can purchase the ad free and colour coordinated PDF pattern on Etsy, Ravelry or LoveCrafts.

Sleeves

Note: Sleeves are worked in rows back and forth and then seamed up. When deciding on sleeve length, keep in mind the edging measures approximately 4.5cm/2in. Make sure to turn the cardigan to the wrong side before joining the yarn to the armhole. It will be very easy to see if you have made a mistake because the bobble pattern will not match with the previous row. Make sure to follow the directions for the size you are making.
