Gorgeous Shell Puff Crochet Pixie Bonnet
The Hayden Bonnet has the most incredible texture using a shell puff stitch pattern. Though it looks very complicated, the stitches are actually very easy! The pattern includes a video tutorial showing you exactly how to do the shell puff stitch to give you the confidence you need to stitch this bonnet. There are 5 sizes included in the pattern from 0-3 months up to 3-5 years. The bonnet is created from a simple rectangle and then folded in half and seamed at the back. There is a small amount of shaping at the neck to ensure a great fit. Finally, you will make 2 straps from simple sc sts. Easy peasy! The Hayden Cardigan
As always I have the most incredible matching design to go with the bonnet. Say hello to The Hayden Cardigan! This piece has been created from the same crochet shell puff motif as the bonnet and I am totally in love! The cardigan is made in one piece with only two side seams to sew. First the back panel is stitched, followed by two front panels worked directly onto the back panel. Sleeves are crocheted onto the armholes. A single crochet edging around each sleeve cuff, along the bottom and inside edges completes the look. This cozy cardigan is perfect to wear with jeans, leggings or a dress. I have included six handy video tutorials to help you through the pattern, though this design requires basic crochet skills and knowledge. *4.00mm (U.S. G/6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Special Stitches
Puff Stitch- Yarn over, insert hook into specified stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook). Repeat 2 times. There should be 7 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through 7 loops. Puff stitch complete.
Shell puff- Place the following into one stitch: puff stitch (instructions above), ch1, puff st, ch1, puff st. Shell puff complete, counts as 5 stitches or 1 shell puff.

| Make sure you end on a RS row. You may want to use a smaller hook for the last row so that the bonnet fits slightly tighter around the face. Do not break yarn. Fold the bonnet in half so the RS is facing in and sew the back of the bonnet using a mattress stitch. See photos below. | ||||||
