Summer Breeze Top
A Reversible Crochet Top/Cardigan Perfect For Summer
I love the idea of any item of clothing that can be worn in two different ways. The Summer Breeze Top is exactly the pattern for this. I think it looks so sweet over top of a little summer dress or it can be worn open in the back with little shorts or a skirt. Since it is made in cotton it will be nice and cool for those warm sunshiny days. It is also so easy and quick to make. You will definitely want to have one for you sweet princess in every size as she grows!
Construction
The great thing about The Summer Breeze Top is that it is made top down with absolutely no seaming. If you have never made a garment before, I would totally recommend making this baby first. It is made in a raglan style which means “top down”. There are increases at four points around the yoke. Yoke means the fitted or shaped piece at the shoulders of a garment.

Materials
*4.00mm(U.S G/6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
*Cotton DK yarn. I used Sirdar Cotton DK in the colour Breeze (542). I absolutely love this yarn so much. It doesn’t split and comes in an array of breath taking colours. I have also added two alternative yarns that would work perfectly for this design. They are Paintbox Yarns Cotton Dk and Rico Baby Cotton Soft. Puff Stitch:
Yarn over, insert hook into specified stitch, yarn over and pull the yarn through stitch (3 loops on hook). Pull loops so they are at the same height as the half double crochet.
