🧵 Materials Needed:
- A straw or woven bag
- Large crochet flowers
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors

🪡 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Make your crochet flowers
Start by crocheting the flowers using my flower pattern. You can make as many as you like depending on how much of the bag you would like to cover. Mix colors for a playful look, or use one colour only for a timeless classic look.
2. Plan your layout
Lay your finished flowers on the straw bag to test different arrangements. Try clustering them in one corner, scattering them across the front, or forming a shape or initials. Snap a photo of your favorite layout to use as a reference.
3. Thread your needle
Use yarn from the long tail you left on your chunky flower. Make sure the eye of the needle you use is large enough for the yarn to fit through.
4. Sew the flowers in place
Working from the outside of the bag, bring your needle down through the straw and stitch around the petals of each flower. Make sure that the flower is secure before you weave in the remaining end into a petal. Cut off any access yarn.
5. Finish and tidy up
Double-check that all flowers are firmly secured. Trim any remaining threads neatly. Your beautiful, handmade straw bag is ready to show off!
